Just in case you missed it, last week we held a virtual symposium with Francesca Albanese and Elizabeth Ferris in a discussion on 'International Protection for the Palestinian People.' Albanese and Ferris discussed the limitations implicit in current paradigms that privilege negotiations, political implications of calling for international protection, the importance of centering settler colonialism in the analysis, and more. This event was moderated by Edmund Ghareeb.

She is a lawyer by training, specialised in human rights. Albanese is an Affiliate Scholar at the Institute for the Study of International Migration at Georgetown University, as well as a Senior Advisor on Migration and Forced Displacement for a think-tank, Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD).
