In his recent book, Shifting Sands, Dr. Migdal discusses how key transformations led to a series of missteps and misconceptions in the 20th century US policy towards the Middle East. He sees an opportunity for the US to deploy a new, more workable strategy. When he joins us, he will highlight key themes in his recent work and extend its analysis to present day challenges in the region.
