Come join us for CSID's 19th Annual Conference: Authoritarianism and Democratic Decline in the Age of Sectarianism and Populism. The conference will feature keynote speaker Senator Bernie Sanders (VT) (invited) as well as numerous panel sessions including Egypt and the Contradictions of Liberalism, Piety or Politics? Interpreting the Iran-Saudi Rivalry and the Rise of Sectarianism, Challenges to Democratic Consolidation in Tunisia, U.S. foreign policy, Neoliberalism, and the Pact Theory, and Islamic Politics, Populism, and Coalition Building. Pre-registration will close on April 20, after which normal rates will be applied.
