Brittany Duncan, PhD Student in Sociology to present.

More than 50,000 people representing over 4500 organizations from 127 countries spanning the five continents participated in this year’s World Social Forum, which took place in Tunis, the city that began the Arab Revolutions. The forum was a demand for “dignity” as activists work to defend and expand the hard won gains of their revolutions. Forum organizers invited the world community to come to Tunis to help bring global attention to their struggles and to help revive momentum for progressive social change.
Brittany traveled to Tunis as part of her research on the World Courts of Women. Hear Brittany’s accounts of her time at the WSF, where she attended meetings of transnational feminist organizers, of US and international delegations, and the WSF International Council.
